Shared Inquiry and a Movie

February 24, 2014 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

What could be more fun that discussing a great book? Discussing a great book and watching the movie! These informal gatherings draw members from various Great Books Club groups (and those new to the Great Book Foundation!)  We watch and discuss a classic movie and book. It is a fun way to get your feet wet in the Great Books Shared Inquiry method of discussion, meet interesting and friendly people. These This is an alternative, fun way for a shared inquiry discussion held three times a year.. As usual,  a selection is read beforehand. That day a movie adaptation is viewed followed by a leisurely lunch, and the discussion of both the book and movie. There are always fascinating contrasts.

Our next event will be Saturday, February 24, 2014 at Queen Anne Lutheran Church on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle. The theme is “Let Valentine’s Day Linger Longer!” and will be discussing Love and Happiness, Family, and Italy
